CroreBet Odds: Margins, Formats and How to Read a Price

Last updated: By , Sportsbook & Odds Editor8 min read18+

Short answer

CroreBet odds are shown in decimal format, where the price multiplies your total return including stake. Across the markets we sampled the overround ran 4–6% on cricket and football match results and widened to 8–12% on micro and player markets.

What format are CroreBet odds shown in?

Decimal, which is the right default for an Indian audience and the easiest format to reason about. A price of 2.40 means a winning ₹100 bet returns ₹240 in total: ₹140 profit and your ₹100 back.

We found no documented setting to switch to fractional or American odds, so we record that as not disclosed rather than claiming it does not exist. For practical purposes you will be reading decimals, and that is a feature rather than a limitation — decimal prices make the probability conversion a single division.

Decimal odds

Decimal odds express the total return per unit staked, including the stake itself. Multiply your stake by the decimal price to get the return. A price of 1.50 returns ₹150 on ₹100, so ₹50 is profit. Anything below 2.00 is an odds-on favourite.

How do you convert CroreBet odds into probability?

Divide 100 by the decimal price. That single operation is the most useful piece of betting arithmetic there is, because it converts a marketing number into a statement you can argue with.

The point of the exercise is disagreement. If a price implies 40% and you genuinely believe the outcome is closer to 50%, you have found a reason to bet. If you cannot articulate a number of your own, you are not finding value — you are picking a team.

What margin does CroreBet charge?

Add the implied probabilities of every outcome in a market. The amount above 100% is the bookmaker's margin, and it is the single most important number on this page.

Those figures are competitive with much larger operators on headline markets and ordinary on the rest. The practical lesson is not that this platform is cheap or expensive, it is that your choice of market costs you more than your choice of bookmaker. Sticking to match and total markets is worth several percent a year.

Why do odds change between tapping and confirming?

Because the price was a snapshot and the market kept moving. In-play prices update between deliveries, and pre-match prices move on team news, money flow and the bookmaker's own risk position.

The bet slip flags the change and asks you to accept the new price, which is correct behaviour and worth respecting. A price that drifted in your favour is fine. A price that shortened against you means the market learned something in the last four seconds, and taking it reflexively is how you end up on the wrong side of information you never saw.

Latency makes this worse on a weak connection, and it is one of the strongest arguments for using the app rather than the browser if you bet in-play at all. The in-play page measures how much the gap actually is.

How do CroreBet odds compare with rivals?

On the markets most people bet, closely. On everything else, the comparison stops being about price and starts being about whether the market exists at all.

A one percentage point margin difference is worth ₹10 per ₹1,000 staked in expectation. Over a season of ₹50,000 turnover that is ₹500 — real money, but smaller than most people assume and far smaller than the cost of betting high-margin markets. Our comparison page scores the rest of the package.

Which markets carry the widest margin?

The rule generalises well: the more outcomes a market has and the more fun it sounds, the more it costs you.

  • Player performance markets — top batsman, top bowler, player runs bands. Many outcomes, thin liquidity, wide books.
  • Micro markets — next-ball outcome, over-by-over runs. Priced fast and priced defensively.
  • Correlated combinations — every leg of a builder carries the margin again. The compounding effect is larger than it looks.
  • Novelty and specials — anything framed as entertainment is priced as entertainment.
  • Low-liquidity fixtures — Indian domestic cricket and minor leagues carry wider books than marquee events in the same sport.

The corollary is the cheapest way to bet on this platform: match result and main totals on marquee fixtures, single bets, no builders. That is also the least exciting way to bet, which is precisely why the other markets exist.

Do bonuses change the value of the odds?

Yes, and the direction depends entirely on whether the turnover condition changes your behaviour. A bonus is worth its face value minus the expected cost of the bets it obliges you to place.

Work it through. A ₹300 bonus with 7× turnover requires ₹2,100 of settled bets. At a 5% average margin those bets have an expected cost of about ₹105, so the bonus is worth roughly ₹195 in expectation — if you were placing those bets anyway. Bet high-margin markets to clear it at 10% and the cost doubles to ₹210.

That is the real reason turnover conditions specify qualifying odds: they steer you toward markets where the margin works hardest. The full bonus arithmetic runs the same calculation at larger deposits.

What do CroreBet odds not tell you?

A price is a statement about money, not about sport. It reflects where the bookmaker's liability sits and what other bettors have backed, and both of those drift away from a genuine probability estimate.

Nothing on this site predicts outcomes, and nothing on this page is a tip. What odds give you is a benchmark: a number to compare your own opinion against. If you have no opinion to compare, the price is just a menu.

A price also carries no information about whether you can afford the bet, which is the one variable entirely under your control. A 10.00 shot is not reckless and a 1.20 favourite is not safe; both are the same decision at different scales, and stake size is what decides whether either matters.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Match-result overround of 4.2–6.1% is competitive with far larger operators.
  • Decimal format throughout, which is the easiest to convert into probability.
  • The bet slip flags price changes and requires you to accept them rather than slipping them through.
  • Kabaddi pricing at 5–8% is respectable for a market many books do not offer at all.

What does not

  • Player and micro markets reach 12.4% overround, which is expensive by any standard.
  • No documented option to switch odds format.
  • Maximum stake is unpublished, so you cannot tell what price will survive a large bet.
  • Low-liquidity fixtures carry noticeably wider books than the marquee equivalents.

Verdict on pricing

Pricing is the quiet strength here. On the markets that carry most of the volume, the margin is genuinely competitive, and the bet slip handles price movement honestly.

The expensive corners are the ones every bookmaker makes expensive: player props, micro markets and builders. That is not a criticism specific to this platform, but it does mean your market selection matters more than your operator selection.

Bet match results and main totals on marquee fixtures as singles and you are getting a fair price. Build four-leg specials on player markets and you are paying for entertainment.

CroreBet odds: common questions

What odds format does CroreBet use?

Decimal by default, where the price multiplies your total return including the stake. A ₹100 bet at 2.40 returns ₹240. We found no documented setting to switch to fractional or American odds.

How do I work out the probability from the odds?

Divide 100 by the decimal price. A price of 2.50 implies 40%, and 1.50 implies 66.7%. Add the implied percentages of every outcome and the excess above 100% is the bookmaker's margin on that market.

Are CroreBet odds good compared with other apps?

On headline markets, yes. We sampled 4.2–6.1% overround on IPL match winners and 5–7% on Premier League match results, which is competitive with much larger books. Player and micro markets are wider at 8–12%.

Odds kaise padhte hain, simple tarika kya hai?

Decimal odds ko stake se multiply karo — 2.00 par ₹500 lagao to ₹1,000 milta hai, ₹500 profit. Probability ke liye 100 ko price se divide karo. 2.00 ka matlab 50% chance, plus bookmaker ka margin.

Why did the odds change while I was placing my bet?

The market moved between your tap and your confirmation, which happens constantly in play and on pre-match news. The bet slip asks you to accept the new price. A price shortening against you usually means the market learned something.

Which CroreBet markets have the worst value?

Player performance markets, over-by-over micro markets and multi-leg builders. We recorded up to 12.4% overround on a top-batsman market against 4.2% on a match winner in the same fixture.

Does the welcome bonus improve the value of the odds?

It can. A ₹300 bonus with 7x turnover obliges ₹2,100 of bets, whose expected cost at a 5% margin is about ₹105 — so the bonus is worth roughly ₹195 if you were betting anyway, and less if it makes you bet more.
